HIT
Adoption
The PA/LTC [Post Acute/Long-Term Care] industry faces many
challenges in the years ahead as our population ages and
as the demand for healthcare services increases. To achieve
better levels of quality and efficiency, and to reduce the
costs of healthcare, the government has called for the widespread
use of Electronic Health Records within the next ten years.
This HIT
[Health Information Technology] Adoption initiative will
soon impact PA/LTC settings.
Purpose/Focus
As our nation moves forward in defining standards for interoperability
and setting policy for the use of electronic health records,
QuickCare maintains a vital interest in influencing and responding
to governmental policy development and changing regulatory
requirements.
Government Relations at QuickCare is about serving our customers.
By our remaining in the “current of activity”
surrounding HIT Adoption within PA/LTC, we will be better
able to develop and deliver state-of-the-art software products
and support services.
Next Steps
Not all care settings are created equal. Therefore, QuickCare
remains an active participant within various trade associations
and advocacy groups, helping to communicate the unique needs
of PA/LTC to government.
If you have questions or comments regarding HIT Adoption
and other government-related activity at QuickCare, please
contact us. We will be glad to answer your questions or
to direct you to those who can.
